Welcome to part two of today’s rugby marathon. Reigning champions South Africa take on Fiji in Wellington and I’ve got a feeling that this could be a close one.

Fiji head coach Samu Domoni: "We looked at those changes to complement what we're trying to achieve for this Saturday's game against South Africa. We respect the Springboks. They are the current world champions and they did really well the other night against Wales. But it doesn’t limit our expectation of what we’re capable of executing on Saturday. There are a few things that we can maximise for a good performance."

South Africa coach Peter de Villiers: "Against a tough proposition like Fiji you'd prefer to have all your players available but this is tournament rugby and we picked our squad knowing that we would have to cover for many situations. If you look at what Fiji offer to us, look at the channel they'll run at, we can't allow the same thing that happened on Saturday, where that channel was exposed on defence."

South Africa have been hit hard with injuries this week. Lock Victor Matfield (hamstring), wing Bryan Habana (knee), centre Jean de Villiers (ribs) and fly-half Butch James (hip) all ruled out. Second row Bakkies Botha is fit again after struggling with an Achilles injury. Fiji head coach Samu Domoni has made three changes to his line-up and they all come in the pack. Narbonne hooker Sunia Koto, Gloucester open-side Akapusi Qera and Montpellier number eight Sakiusa Matadigo all start.

The Springboks made a stuttering start to this year's tournament, edging past Wales 17-16. Fiji, meanwhile, began with a free-scoring 49-25 victory over Namibia. Winger Vereniki Goneva scoring four tries. The Springboks know they will have to sharpen up their act if they are to avoid a shock result.
