Welcome to part two of today’s rugby marathon. Reigning champions South Africa take on Fiji in Wellington and I’ve got a feeling that this could be a close one.

Right then, the second half is up and running with Fiji getting us going.

The half-time whistle blows. An entertaining 40 minutes comes to an end.

SA 21-3 Fiji PENALTY South Africa! No problems this time for Morne Steyn, his three points gives his side the comfortable cushion their performance deserves.

Fiji centre Gabirieli Lovobalavu is pinged for being offside at a ruck - Morne Steyn with the kick at goal.

John Smit and Burger gain hard yards for South Africa as Fiji defend again in their own 22. Fiji will want this half to end.

All the players taking a little breather now as they prepare for a Springbok scrum. This has been a hard first half.

Burger, Botha and Steenkamp all take the ball on and SA get into Fiji's 22. However, more good ruck work at the breakdown gives possession back to Fiji and they can clear their lines.

Spies again with a charging run to put his side on the front foot, SA come again.

It was a distance out but he will be disappointed with that. The ball drifts wide and the gap is still 15 points.

Fiji are struggling to cope with the big green wave here, not many teams can, in truth. Fiji give away another penalty, for a high tackle, and Morne Steyn goes for goal again.

SA 18-3 Fiji TRY South Africa! Fiji fail to collect a big up and under, Ndungane applying the pressure. The ball goes through the backs and Jaque Fourie dives over in the corner, the video referee saying he did not put his foot in touch. That is Fourie's 31st Test try. Morne Steyn misses the conversion.

SA struggling to break through the Fiji defence on the 40m line. Without a lot of options available to him, Frans Steyn goes for an optimistic drop-goal. It's not good and barely makes the posts.

Fiji attack but the move breaks down and South Africa can clear. The Springboks are in the ascendency.

This half has flown by. By the way, these two teams have only met once before in a Rugby World Cup match. Their 2007 quarter-final clash, which the Springboks won 37-20, was one of the games of the tournament.

SA 13-3 Fiji PENALTY South Africa! South Africa are sensing blood. Morne kicks wide to JP Pietersen and Spies picks up from the back of a ruck to get over the gain line. Fiji concede a penalty and Morne Steyn adds the three points.

SA 10-3 Fiji TRY South Africa! As South Africa pile forward, JP Pietersen is on hand again near a ruck to feed prop Steenkamp, who drives through three tacklers to score the game's opening try in the corner. Morne Steyn adds the extras.

Good run from JP Pietersen into the Fiji half. He evades three tacklers before being brought down. SA on the charge here.

That is disciplined stuff from the Springboks, they defend well and then snatch back possession from an untidy Fiji ruck.

Fiji again going through the phases and SA have to defend strongly in their own half.

South Africa back-pedalling towards their own line as Fiji hack forward. Du Preez tidies up but he is snared by the Fiji chase and the Springboks lose possession.
