Rodriguez gets a chance to double Argentina's lead after Scotland infringe at the scrum. But he pulls his kick again, just like the drop goal attempt and the score remains 3-0

Play goes on still as Argentina, on the attack nearly knock into Lobbe, who has just got to his feet. Eventually play stops because of a knock-on and Barnes sends Lobbe off for blood on his knee. That is quite frankly ridiculous. The referees have been told not to stop play for every injury but that was quite obviously fairly serious

PENALTY ARGENTINA! 3-0! Contepomi gets a second chance to kick for points and this time he lands it from right out in front of the posts. Argentina have the lead and have had 78 per cent of possession so far. It could be more than just three in this first quarter

Contepomi decides to kick for points and he has the direction but the penalty was on the half-way line and it his kick drops just short

Scotland get the penalty and the chance to clear their half as Juan Figallo goes into the scrum on the angle instead of straight. A scrappy start from both sides so far

Argentina go for the early drop goal but fullback Martín Rodríguez scuffs his kick badly from right in front of the posts, pulling it wide to the right, and Scotland escape
12'
Scotland are penalised for early engagement at the scrum and Argentina take the penalty quickly. They get up to within five metres of the try line ...

Scotland get back into the Argentine half but Nick De Luca is penalised for not releasing and Argentina kick upfield, into the Scottish 22 for the drive to the line

Not a bad looking strike from Paterson but he can't quite pull the ball around and it drifts across the front of goal and wide of the right post
7'
Scotland trying to play the game at tempo as Jackson and the Lamont move the ball on. Argentina are penalised for not rolling away and Paterson will have an opportunity to kick for points ...

Scotland are pushed back but make it back up to the half way line. Max Evans breaks and gets 10m back into the Argentine half but he is unable to hold on to it and Contepomi receives the loose ball and boots up with left wing

Lawson ... to Richie Grey ... back to Lawson. And then a knock-on from Argentina hands Scotland a scrum on the 10m line of the Argentine half

The weather is not great in Wellington. It's only about seven degrees and there has been some fairly steady rain falling throughout the day. It's fairly dry at the moment but there will be more rain this evening, that is for sure

Felipe Contepomi returns for Argentina. The 34-year-old Contepomi missed the Pumas' 43-8 victory over Romania after he suffered what appeared to be a potentially tournament-ending rib injury. He returns to his preferred inside centre role with Martin Rodriguez moving back to full-back after he played there against Romania. Santiago Fernandez remains at fly-half for the match.
