Great preesure from Italy as they keep probing for gaps - 10m out now...

Italy attack and recylcing well up the left, and now Parisse breaks into the 22m...

The match gets back under way, and Scotland have a battle on their hands to try and get back into this match. From the deep restart Hogg kicks for touch though, and Italy have the ball in Scotland's half once more.

It's been a very poor half of rugby, Italy will count themselves unlucky not to be in the lead after dominating possession and territory for the first 40 minutes. Scotland have not threatend at all, and only that superb long kick by Laidlaw has kept them in it.

The clock goes into the red and Greig Laidlaw boots the ball off to make it half-time.

Penalty missed! Tough one from the 5m line on the left, and Bergamasco pushes it wide of the right post. But the hosts will still have a one-man advantage at the start of the second half.

Canale makes a good break up the left, and as Gori picks it up from the ruck Nick De Luca cyncially kicks the ball out of the Italy scrum-half's hands. That's a yellow card and a penalty.

Scotland win the throw cleanly for once, and Hogg punts for touch just outside the 22m. Italy still have an attacking chance here...

Gray fumbles it from the restart to give it back to Italy, and Canale kicks brilliantly to win a throw right in the corner. The way throws have been going, anything can happen...

The penalty goes over for Scotland! Laidlaw's kick is a good one - just inside the left post, and it just creeps over the bar, but that's superb to land one from that far out. 3-3.

Scotland push the scrum right over to win a penalty just inside their own half, and Laidlaw will have a go. Straight in front, perfect conditions, but it's almost 50m... tough kick.

Italy lose their throw again, Scotland then turn it over, and then Castogiovanni spills the ball out of his hands to turn it straight back. This is really not good. Not good rugby at all.

Italy throw is overdone - we've seen that three or four times already today - and Scotland win it, this time kicking for a great touch deep in Italy's half.

Scotland win it and Blair kicks for touch, but it's still in the 22m and Italy's throw.

Rolland stops the game - yet again - to give the skippers a talking to, calling the game "a mess". The look on Parisse's face suggests that he's not really taking in much for Rolland's million-words-a-minute rabbiting.

Scotland kick for touch and Italy run it back once more, with Masi again almost breaking through the line - Morrison just hangs to him though, but Scotland infringe in the ruck and it's a penalty to Italy.

Italy spin it back and Burton has a go at the drop goal - it looks good but is charged down, by Barclay. Italy keep it and come forward again, but it's now knocked on.

Italy's forwards rampant, Zanni and Geldenhuys come up the left to within 5m of the line...

Scotland kick the ball back to Italy, Burton collects and puts a perfect shot into the corner; Hogg is there to save the lineout, however, but they kick back and Italy come up again!
