UFC president Dana White says he is unsure whether or not Conor McGregor will fight in the promotion again after his recent withdrawal from UFC 303. The Irishman was due to face Michael Chandler in a welterweight contest on June 29 but suffered an injury in the build-up. He promised to return to the Octagon but White has cast doubt on the 35-year-old’s future.

Dana White has admitted he doesn’t know if Conor McGregor will fight again after the Irishman was forced out of his scheduled bout with Michael Chandler at UFC 303.
The Notorious was set to make his highly anticipated return to the Octagon against the American on June 29 but picked up an injury in the build-up, with no new date pencilled in.
McGregor, 35, vowed he would “be back” but White is unsure what the future holds for the promotion’s biggest star.
"Conor McGregor, maybe he'll fight again, maybe he won't," White said on the Jim Rome Show. “You never know with some of the guys that get to that level. You never know when you’re going to see them again.”
The Irishman was last in action in July 2021, when he broke his leg in a second successive defeat to Dustin Poirier.
He has won just once since beating Eddie Alvarez in November 2016 to become a two-weight world champion.

But there is typically excitement whenever he is on a UFC card. Concerns were first sparked when a press conference in Dublin was cancelled before the fight was officially scrapped, with light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and challenger Jiri Prochazka stepping in at late notice.
McGregor is believed to be in contract negotiations to prolong his UFC career but White dismissed suggestions that played any part in his withdrawal.
“Conor McGregor never leads up to a fight and tries to renegotiate a contract or get more money,” White added.
“Conor McGregor is hurt right now. It’s absolutely real. He’s never done anything like that.”
