Mohamed Salah's potential move from Liverpool to Al Ittihad has been one of the biggest stories of Deadline Day. But Jurgen Klopp insists that as far as he is concerned there has been no bid for his star forward, and nothing has changed. The Saudi Arabian club were linked with a £150 million bid for the Egyptian on Friday morning with just hours to go until the window closes in England.

'We all have to protect the game' - Klopp on spending power of Saudi League

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he is unaware of any offers for star forward Mohamed Salah from Saudi Arabia.
Reports on Friday morning linked Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad with a £150 million Deadline Day move for the Egyptian.
But Klopp batted away the rumours in a press conference ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
"The position remains the same,” Klopp said. “Absolutely no doubt about that. That's how it is. Nothing else to say.”
When pressed on if a bid had arrived from a Saudi club, Klopp replied: “Not as far as I know, but that doesn't mean a lot to be honest.”
The Premier League transfer window shuts at 23:00 UK time on Friday, but Saudi Arabian clubs have until September 7 to complete their business.
A string of high-profile players have departed European powerhouses to head to the Middle Eastern country this summer, including Neymar, Karim Benzema and Salah’s former team-mates Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino.
Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for months and The Telegraph say that Al Ittihad are prepared to fork out a £150m fee that would represent a Premier League record sale.

The 31-year-old has a contract to June 2025 at Anfield and has started all three of their Premier League games so far this season, notching one goal and two assists.
Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2017 and has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and World Club Cup with the Reds.
The Egypt international has also clinched the Premier League Golden Boot three times – twice shared – and became the club’s top Premier League goalscorer earlier this year.
