He was spotted on the London Underground wearing a home top with ‘Goaldado’ printed on the back – a decision that looks rather tragic following the striker’s stagnation since a £26 million switch to White Hart Lane 14 months ago.

Soldado’s latest calamity occurred during Spurs’ controversial 4-1 defeat to Manchester City when, after earning a dubious spotkick, he saw his weak penalty saved by Joe Hart.
