Everton have been successful in their appeal against Dominic Calvert-Lewin's straight red card against Crystal Palace. The striker was sent off following VAR intervention for a tackle on Nathaniel Clyne during last week's FA Cup third-round clash. The Toffees were left incensed with the decision, with manager Sean Dyche admitting VAR was "beginning to test my patience".

Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be available to face Aston Villa in the Premier League this Sunday after having his sending off against Crystal Palace overturned.
The striker was controversially given his marching orders for a tackle on Nathaniel Clyne in last week's FA Cup third-round clash at Selhurst Park, which ended 0-0.
The tackle originally went unpunished by referee Chris Kavanagh, who was happy that the 26-year old had put in a fair challenge.
However, VAR intervened, with Michael Salisbury recommending that the official took another look at the challenge, and he was subsequently issued with a straight red card for "serious foul play".
The dismissal left Sean Dyche incensed, who believes his side "generally haven't" been on the right side of decisions this season.
After the match, the Everton boss stated: "I think we're all aware it needs tidying up.
"I thought it was getting tidied up, and then it seems to have stepped back a little bit.
"I remain a fan at this stage, but it is beginning to test my patience."
The red card had meant Calvert-Lewin was facing a three-match ban, which would have also forced him to miss next week's replay at Goodison Park, as well as The Toffees' trip to Fulham at the end of January.
The Football Association confirmed that the England international was a victim of "wrongful dismissal", meaning Everton were successful in appealing the decision, and he now becomes immediately available for selection.
