Totti flashes a cross-cum-shot wide from the right more in hope than expectation. Nothing like the attacking zeal the visitors had in the early stages.

Speaking of Pirlo, his arrival in this game has unsurprisingly mirrored Juve actually getting on top. Makes you wonder if Roma will assign a sub like Michael Bradley to him in the second half.

Both Asamoah and Vidal fail to pick out a team-mate with low centres from either flank after Pirlo takes the set piece short.

Juve do have another dangerous free-kick though, once again to the right and about 25 out.

Mass handball cries as a Lichtsteiner cross from the right catches the arm of Dodo inside the box. Ref decides there was nothing Dodo could do there - his arm was tucked in which may have saved his bacon.

Llorente conjures up some space outside the box and shoots off-target. Juve definitely getting into this one, it has been a fine 6-7 minute period for them.

Totti looks to make the most of contact with Chillini on an attempted counter. He knows the defender is on a yellow. Speaking of that yellow, Pjanic needed a spot of treatment after the foul by Giorgio but is okay to continue.

Pirlo takes it short to Pogba in the area, whose first-time shot is blocked. Tevez receives the loose ball on the right and his low cross whizzes agonisingly close to the Roma goal line with Bonucci the closest to converting it.

The hosts keep the pressure on in their finest few minutes of the game so far, and win a free-kick 25 from goal, right of centre. That foul will also earn Gervinho the visitors' first booking.

Another Roma set piece leads to another Juve break-away, this time Lichtsteiner of all people the most forward man in the penalty area - he cannot get a decent header onto the Vidal cross, though.

Chiellini joins Tevez in the referee's book after sliding in rash on Pjanic on the right.

Again Roma waste the set piece. Bit of an argument that Tevez was not a full 10 yards back but either way, they should have been able to get the ball up and over and into the danger zone.

Now Tevez enters the book for a cynical foul on Maicon as Roma come forward once more. First yellow of the game and the away side have another long free-kick to try and belt forward.

Chance Juventus! Again on the counter after the wasted Roma set play, it's Pogba this time with a great run through the middle but he just cannot play Tevez on in the area. The striker at full stretch to get a stud and nothing more onto the pass.

Another Roma corner goes to waste.

Pogba clumsily brings down Pjanic, but the 35-yard free-kick - sent long into a crowded box - cannot be headed towards goal by an off-balance De Rossi.

Nonetheless, Roma deal with the corner, Juve's first of the game. 1-1 in flag kicks so far in a game of which Roma continue to enjoy the lion's share.

Strootman isn't pleased a corner is given when he beats Lichtsteiner to a loose ball only for the wing-back to seemingly obstruct him from keeping the ball in play.

Great challenge by Castan to get the ball cleanly from Llorente on the right-hand byline.

Dodo now has a shot saved by Buffon with Strootman again the architect.

Asamoah comes into the box to volley clear a decent driven cross by Ljajic.
