Cagliari's front two combine really nicely, Thiago with more fanstastic control. Again Udinese's weight of numbers prove too much though.

Palermo have scored a second and it's Massimo Donati with a stunning goal.

The stadium is pretty empty really. Italian football really needs changing. Literally entire tiers with no fans in them.

Armero with a decent chance after Basta jinks past Cagliari shirts and the ball in the box comes to the Colombian on the half volley. He connects nicely, but it goes wide of the far post.

Domizzi fires it low towards the side the keeper is covering and Agazzi is pretty comfortable. Still, the first shot on target of the match.

Torje goes on a 40 yard run and as he gets to the edge of the area he's taken down cynically. Brilliant run, and a very promising position here...

Udinese are applying more pressure now, but Armero and Fernandes contrive to lose the ball.

Pinilla is double teamed when on the run and gets the foul. Again, nothing is made of the promising freekick.

Torje stupidly runs back from a clear offside position to pick up the ball and is rightly flagged.

In the other match in Serie A, Palermo have just gone 1-0 against Lazio courtesy of Baretto.

Canini fires long and Pinilla brings it down. They win the throw high up the pitch, but more wastefulness and the keeper has it.

Fernandes brings down Ekdal, but Cagliari play it short and decide to just keep the ball.

Armiro is really reluctant to get down the wing and keeps looking for the pass infield. No width from the home side and the ball runs through to Agazzi.

Nice skill from Thiago again, but the ref denies his appeals for a foul.

Abdi commits yet another foul, but the freekick is aimed to no one and goes straight out for a goal kick.

Thiago with a wondrous bit of control of the long ball, he next dinks it past the last defender, but his shot is terrible! A shame after Berbatov like skill beforehand.

Pisano loses the ball, but Cagliari get the throw. They play all the way back to Agazzi and build from the back.

Abdi goes down under the challenge of Canini, but he gets up unhurt. Abdi now with the cynical foul in midfield.

Torje twists and turns out on the left touchline and wins the throw. Udinese can't make anything of it and Cagliari get on the ball for the first time in the match.

Flores breaks forward, but last ditch defending and a punt up field from Agazzi gets the ball to safety.

It's whipped in and Danilo gets a head on it. It bounces off the chest of Flores and goes inches wide of the near post.
