CHANCE FOR ATALANTA!! Biondini finds some space down the left and cuts inside of two challenges, edging nearer to the goal with every trick. He then lashes an effort on goal but sends it high and wide.

De Ceglie should score. Caceres sends a ball to the feet of Padoin on the right touchline. The midfielder takes on touch to get the ball out of his feet and then fizzes a wonderful ball across the face of the goal where De Ceglie is waiting. His stooping header is sent wide of the far post from six yards.

Very poor effort. Biondini advances forward and has options to his left and right but opts to shoot from 40 yards.

Juve look to break quickly and do so in numbers. The ball is shifted from the right to the left as Quagliarella looks to take on Scaloni. The forward is brought down but the referee deems it a fair challenge and now the hosts look to build on attack themselves.

Caceres and Isla work very well down the right to double-team their opponents and snuff out the danger. Atalanta pushing for an equaliser here.

How many times have we seen that ball from Andrea Pirlo. The Italian veteran oozes class and made that ball, which was not an easy one to play, look effortless. The touch and finish weren’t too bad either...

GOAL FOR JUVENTUS!!! Matri scores for the visiting side. And what a goal it is, too. The forward times his run to perfection and is found by a typically brilliant Pirlo ball. Matri brings the ball down on the edge of the penalty area and then smashes a left-footed drive into the far corner.

Juve have seen a lot of the ball in the opening quarter of an hour but have failed to test Consigli in the Atalanta net. It’s been a solid defensive display from the hosts so far.

Smart play from the home side who look to be pegged deep in their own half but Canini and Stendardo do superbly well to play their way out of danger and advance up the pitch.

Isla tracks back superbly well down the right wing and clear’s his side’s danger just as Bonaventura looked to cross for the looming Denis.

Pirlo’s corner is again clipped into the box and it should be cut out by Canini but the defender mis-times his jump. A whole host of bodies attack the ball as the referee blows the whistle for a push in the area.

Padoin trades a one-two with Pirlo and is sent down the right flank with the return ball. He looks to cross but Del Grosso is on hand to send the ball out for a corner.

The hosts have found their feet in the last few minutes and are now probing for some space amongst the Juve defenders.

That’s not something Atalanta coach Colantuono would have liked being forced into so early on in this match but his side have coped well with Juve’s attacking threat so far.
