Tottenham have confirmed an extended loan deal for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner. The Germany international initially arrived in north London in the January transfer window, establishing himself as an important player until a hamstring injury in April saw him miss the end of the campaign. Werner netted twice and made three assists in his 13 league appearances.

Tottenham have confirmed a deal to extend Timo Werner's loan spell at the club from RB Leipzig until the end of next season.
The deal includes an option to make it a permanent transfer for the 28-year-old for a fee in the region of £8.5 million.
The Germany international initially joined Spurs on loan in January to provide cover for Ange Postecoglou's side, and netted two goals and three assists.
His first goal for the club came in a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace before netting his second in a 4-0 victory at Aston Villa.
He made 13 Premier League appearances for Spurs before a hamstring injury in late April ruled him out of the final five games of the League.
Spurs eventually finished fifth, securing Europa League football next season after Aston Villa finished fourth.
In a video released by Spurs on Tuesday evening, Werner said: "I'm happy to be here in north London. I see how good the club is, how good we are as a team.
"I feel already in the stadium that they are behind me and that they're very happy when I score. Spurs is a really, really good place to stay at."
Werner returned to the Premier League with Spurs following a difficult two-year spell with Chelsea, where he struggled to replicate the form that earned him his big-money move to Stamford Bridge. He scored 23 goals in 89 appearances while Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup under Thomas Tuchel.
He returned to Leipzig in 2022, netting 11 goals in 35 Bundesliga games before joining Spurs this year.
Werner has 24 goals from his 57 Germany caps but has yet to play for his country since a friendly defeat to Belgium in March 2023.
