Ange Postecoglou says Son Heung-min has been taken "to a new level" since becoming Tottenham Hotspur captain. Son was named as the new Spurs captain at the start of the season to replace Hugo Lloris, who eventually moved to the United States. Postecoglou’s comments came ahead of Tottenham’s match against West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

Son Heung-min has been "taken to a new level" after becoming Tottenham Hotspur captain, according to manager Ange Postecoglou.
Son was announced as the new Spurs captain in August, replacing former goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who eventually joined Major League Soccer side LAFC.
The South Korea international has been a key player for Spurs this season, scoring 15 times in the Premier League so far, helping his team to fifth in the table.
"It wasn't a big decision to make him captain," Postecoglou said in his press conference on Monday. "I felt like we needed to change in most things to show the direction.
"I felt he was such a natural fit, he's been a leader in his national team.
"Sometimes when you officially get the title it can weigh heavily but his performances this year have been outstanding and if anything it's taken him to a new level."
Tottenham defeated Luton 2-1 on their return from the international break and are back in action against West Ham on Tuesday, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
A win by more than two goals will lift Spurs into fourth, taking them above Aston Villa on goal difference.
But Postecoglou dismissed the idea of a top-four finish as the main aim for the season.
"We want to finish the season strong and keep building the foundation," he said.
"Hopefully in 12 months' time people will look at and talk about us differently, and that's not just about where you finish and how many points you get."
