Nottingham Forest versus Aston Villa LIVE: Visitors aim to go third in afternoon Premier League clash

Gibbs-White finds Elanga in space on the left of the area. Elanga is one-on-one with Kamara and tries to take him on the outside; Kamara slides in and takes the ball clean as a whistle.

Digne chests a ball down at the back post and has a chance to shoot, but his effort is charged down by Aina.

Gibbs-White almost releases Awoniyi here after winning it in midfield. Villa are playing a very high line here, and it feels like they could be sprung quickly if they keep giving it away cheap.

Digne and Zaniolo work a nice move down the left, but Zaniolo skews his cross completely. It's so bad that it briefly threatens to catch out Vlachodimos at the front post, but the debutant gets across to stop it going in.

Douglas Luiz clips a lovely ball to hte back post, where Cash arrives unmarked and volleys the ball into orbit. He'll be pleased to see the flag go up for Watkins being offside earlier in the move.

They look dangerous again down the left. Kamara is robbed clean this team and Elanga hares off, with options left and right. He dithers though, unsure whether to shoot or pass and eventually Konsa gets a leg in the way to halt the attack.

A free kick is lofted into the Villa box, where there's a shout for a handball on Zaniolo. Play goes on, and Forest do superbly to rob Kamara on the edge of the area and Awoniyi is in...until Gillett whistles for a very generous foul on Kamara. I'd have to see it again, but I think Villa have got away with one there.

Torres drops a nice long ball in behind Aina for Digne to run onto. For a second it looks like Digne might be away, but Aina gets a foot in to put it behind for a corner. Villa work that short to Douglas Luiz, who overhits his cross to the back post and out.

Digne fires a low ball in from the left. It's dangerous, but Niakhate gets a foot on it and sends it away from danger.

Martinez was beaten by the precision there. When Aina stepped onto it you felt for all the world it would go airborne, but he got over the shot superbly and drilled it into the corner.

Oh my, this is a beauty! Forest have been lively so far, and a quick one-two sets Elanga away down the left. He checks back on himself, and Forest work the ball back to the edge of the D. Aina walks onto it and guides a side-footed drive into the bottom corner for his first ever goal for Forest!

Forest break quickly through Awoniyi. He finds Sangare near the D, who lays it off to Dominguez; the latter's shot skews hopelessly wide, but it was a slick move.

The young lad gets a hearty round of applause, and affection pats from the Forest and Villa players when he's done. That's a nice touch from both sides. One thunderous airing of Forest's pastiche of Mull of Kintyre later, we're underway!

There are two major changes today for Forest, at either end of the pitch. Odysseas Vlachodimos starts in goal, while returning up front is Taiwo Awoniyi. Villa are unchanged from the XI that beat Luton a week ago. Their captain John McGinn makes his 200th appearance for the club today.
