UNITED MANAGER EXPLAINS RASHFORD ABSENCE
"We have to close that case. I have said everything about it," said Ten Hag on Rashford's birthday party.
The United manager said the England forward would have started if fit, but explained: "We tested it this morning, and it was not good enough."
And how do United get a win against Fulham today?
"It starts with team spirit from the first whistle, and we have to make it our game," he told TNT Sports. "We have to do the hard work, do it together and find a way to win. We have seen the performances have not been good enough.
"Don't look back. Of course, we take the lessons, but look forward."

TNT SPORTS PUNDITS COLE AND JENAS ON TEN HAG'S PLIGHT
"Fulham v Manchester United. This is a big one for Ten Hag and Man Utd. They're going to be coming up against a very good team, who know how to get the job done here at Craven Cottage," said Jermaine Jenas speaking with Joe Cole.
"The story today is all about those United players. Can they relive the glory days? When Sir Alex Ferguson could get them out there to get a big win. Has Erik ten Hag got that in the locker? It feels like his job is on the line on today."

WELCOME TO THE EARLY KICK-OFF IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE
A huge day in the Premier League, but especially for United manager Erik ten Hag as he bids to get the show back on the road against Fulham live on TNT Sports following his side’s 3-0 home defeat by Newcastle United in the last 16 of the League Cup in midweek.
United have astonishingly lost eight times in their opening 15 matches in all competitions for the first time since they suffered nine defeats at the same stage of the 1962/63 campaign.
Coming off the back of a brutal 3-0 derby loss to city rivals Manchester City in the Premier League at Old Trafford last Sunday, there is a need for a positive result at United at Craven Cottage.
“When you are together in a fight, we will come through it,” said Ten Hag. “We will put it right and in the end, it is about the end result. When the [injured] players are returning, we will play better and the performances will be better."
A 12:30pm kick-off at Craven Cottage for what is sure to be a thrilling afternoon.
