BAD-NATURED SCENES AT THE BRIDGE
Chelsea hold on to complete a 3-2 win. And a lot of the players and coaches from both teams are clearly unhappy with the calls made by the match officials and of course VAR. How were Brighton not awarded a corner when the ball came off Colwill's head is beyond me, but Chelsea do enough to collect the three points. Only their second league win at home of the campaign.

VAR CHECK FOR A BRIGHTON PENALTY
And Brighton have a corner kick. Came off the head of Levi Colwill, but the referee checks the VAR. Well, real confusion here. But no corner kick either. Another odd VAR call.

FRANTIC END TO THIS ONE
Chelsea deep in the trenches as Simon Adingra throws over a cross that is collected by Sanchez before Silva makes a brilliant interception to rob Adingra of the ball seconds later. All hands to the deck here for Chelsea.

We are into 10 minutes of added time as João Pedro rises to flick home a header from the James Milner corner. Back to 3-2. Plenty of time for another one.

MITOMA TRIES TO CUT OPEN CHELSEA
But plenty of blue shirts between him and the goal as his short arrows straight into the arms of Sanchez in the home goal.

GAME MANAGEMENT NOW FOR CHELSEA
Despite being a man down, it is difficult to suggest Chelsea have looked in any trouble. Brighton have played some nice stuff without really threatening.
