That is so good from Pickford. Caicedo picks out Mac Allister in the box and the World Cup winner steers a bullet header towards the near corner but Pickford stretches and somehow keeps it out.

The intensity has dropped a little now. Brighton are still coming forward but Everton look a little more comfortable after the early onslaught.

Ferguson shifts it brilliantly out of his feet and fizzes a shot from a tight angle that Pickford does well to get his fingertips to. From the corner, Mac Allister's glancing header has Pickford beaten, but the crossbar rescues The Toffees.

March has been brilliant since coming on. He picks it up on the left again and works his way into the box before unleashing a shot towards the far corner. Mina's soes superbly to get his head in the way and keep Everton's three-goal lead intact.

Everton have barely been able to get out of their own half so far in the second period. Brighton pin them back with another corner but can't make the most of it.

Gross feeds the ball into March on the right. He looks keen to make an impression and wins a free-kick. The ball in is a good one and results in a corner. Everton clear the initial danger before Gross floats a pinpoint delivery in to Ferguson, whose header is superbly saved by Pickford on the stretch.

Gross cuts in from the right and gets a shot away but there's no way it's going to get through the swarm of Everton bodies.

Enciso's throughball into Ferguson looks on the money but Mykolenko recovers brilliantly to get his body in there first and win a free-kick.
