Evening all, and welcome to Manchester City v Chelsea!

City are passing with a bit more pace now, Chelsea sitting off them. I'm not sure they've got the defence to pull that off, and sure enough De Bruyne picks a pass into Aguero, but Zouma does just enough to block his shooting angle.

But for the fact that it came, that goal was not coming; will City use it as a spur, or go back to doing the not very much they were doing before it arrived?

GOAL! Manchester City 1-1 Chelsea (De Bruyne) Fernandinho muscles into a challenge and finds Silva who flutters through midfield before two deflections on his pass feed De Bruyne. He thinks about shooting but, 20 yards out, ducks inside onto his left foot as Jorginho slides in en route to another dimension and slaps a shot that Kepa is about to save easily, only for it to deflect of Zouma as he dives out of its way.

Kepa hangs onto the ball for ages, and the whistles start. Surely if City lose here, the greatest league in the world is already done. They currently sit 12 points behind Liverpool.

City just aren't themselves. They've got no tempo and no conviction - they're playing from memory, and if they don't sort themselves they'll be further behind before Guardiola has scope to change it.

Looking at the goal again, I think Ederson should've stayed, but you can't argue that they goal wasn't coming. Chelsea took five minutes to settle, but they've been excellent thereafter.

GOAL! Manchester City 0-1 Chelsea (Kante) Well! Nice from Jorginho and Kovacic in midfield, working space before the latter lofts a ball towards the middle for Kante, who has Stones hanging off him so he can't get a proper shot in. But when Ederson comes, all it needs is a nick to get it by him, and that's what happens!

It's a while since City did anything but he's Mahrez, running at Emerson, and slicing a cross into touch.

Willian hustles through centrefield and finds Emerson who, with Abraham screeching for a cross, whacks a shot directly at Ederson.

Chelsea are the better team, I'd say. City have forgotten how to play, but still have good enough players to have you.

Pulisic and Fernandinho contest the corner and the ball is half-cleared to Abraham, who brings it down nicely. It then runs away from him, but Tomori is there, and he spanks a low one only just wide. He's frustrated because he thinks he should've scored - and maybe he should - but it was a decent effort.

A long ball finds Kante competing down the right - it's definitely not him sitting - and his cross is blocked behind by Stones.

Rodri is an excellent player who will only improve, but I wonder whether, without Fernandinho, City's midfield lacks bite.

Things are warming up.

Jorginho slips a ball through the middle of the pitch to Kante, who squares for Abraham .. and he leans back trying to curl for the top corner, missing by a way.

Pulisic wriggles space on the by-line and digs out a cross, but can't clip in to Abraham.

Bit of decent possession for Chelsea, who are now in the game.

But then Mahrez loses out to Emerson who finds Abraham who, with Mendy out of position plays in Willian! From a position similar to the one from which De Bruyne dragged wide, he does likewise - albeit with better contact.

Chelsea have barely left their own half.
