Hello and welcome to Hull City versus Southampton at the KC Stadium. The travelling Saints are still enjoying an incredible start to the season, sitting second in the Premier League table. The Tigers have had a strong start too, and, after away draws at Arsenal and Liverpool, should give Ronald Koeman's side a run for their money today.

They also beat Hull home and away last season, so the omens are good.

As well as scoring plenty, Southampton have the best defensive record in the top four divisions of English football with just five goals conceded.

A win for Hull would take them above Liverpool and Manchester United and into the top-half with 10 games played.

After selling Shane Long to Southampton in the summer, Hull went into recruitment mode, too. Hernandez and Diame have added to their threat going forward, and with Ben Arfa in the side today, they will pose Southampton problems.

With Liverpool losing again today, Southampton can go eight points clear of the Reds. Considering that Liverpool signed three of their best players last summer, that is no mean feat and no doubt a souce of satisfaction for Saints fans.

Something like this wouldn't go amiss today...

They may have lost several excellent players in the summer but in Tadic and Pelle, Southampton have two of the stars of the season so far. Ronald Koeman brought the pair with him from the Eredivisie, proving that there is still outstanding talent in the Netherlands.

With nine wins in their last ten games in all competitions, Southampton have banished all of the negativity around the club over the summer. They make just two changes from their 1-0 win over Stoke last weekend, with Wanyama coming in for Cork and Shane Long replacing Mane.

So Hull name just one change from the that drew 0-0 at Liverpool last week, with McShane coming in for Bruce junior. That means third choice goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic starts in goal again, with Allan McGregor and Steve Harper both out injured. The one-time Swiss international put in a solid performance at Anfield and will no doubt be called into action today by the league's second highest-scoring side.
