Remember, City can go top, at least for a hew hours, with a win or a draw today as Manchester United are not playing Reading until later today. Everton will be looking for a win as they try to keep pace with the Champions League spots. Today's away side have drawn six of their last eight league games.

David Moyes: "I think we've had some good performances [against City]. I don't know if they're up there with the best in my time here but I think we've done quite well when we've played them and we'll try to do that again."

Mancini: "I think (facing) Everton is difficult for everyone, for us, for Manchester United, for Chelsea. Because every game they play against a top squad, they play very, very well. Every match we play against them, we have a problem."

City have not lost at home in the league since December 2010. The last team to beat them... Everton. A good omen for today?

Everton have become City's bogey team over the past few years, with the Merseyside club having won eight and lost just two of their last 10 Premier League meetings. Roberto Mancini has only won once in six attempts against them.

So, City make a fair few changes to the team that saw off Wigan in midweek. Aleksandar Kolarov, Joleon Lescott, Samir Nasri, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko come in as Pablo Zabaleta, Matija Nastasic, Javi Garcia, Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli make way. Everton, meanwhile, are unchanged from the side that drew with Arsenal on Wednesday, with Leighton Baines and Nikica Jelavic shaking off a hamstring injury and illness respectively.
