Kompany with another long ball to Tevez but Distin does well to get to the ball first and clear.

Another example of the away side getting into a good position but not really knowing what to do with the ball when they are there.

It's Hibbert's turn to get forward down the right. He plays in Fellaini who knocks it to Naismith but his pass is poor and the move comes to an end. A real waste there.

Baines gets forward again. Lescott heads his cross clear though.

Osman plays the ball to Baines in space on the left. The full back, with plenty of time, sends a cross in but it is very poor and goes out for the goal kick.

It's Tevez who pulls a ball back across goal this time and Silva just misses it. It falls to the incoming Nasri though but his shot is blocked by the back of Dzeko's head.

Nice work from City on the right as Maicon tees up Barry for the cross but Tevez fails to get on the end of it.

So quite a tight game so far. No proper chances have been created as of yet.

Kompany does well to hold off Fellaini and head the long ball over the top back to Hart.

Gibson spots the run of Baines down the left but he is unable to pick him out with the pass. Baines has been getting forward a lot. To be expected.

Silva whips the free-kick in but Howard punches and Everton only give it back to the Spaniard on the right. He picks out Dzeko but the striker is unable to get proper contact on his header.

Pienaar stops Maicon with what looks like a good tackle but a free kick is given in a dangerous position. Moyes is not happy.

Everton have been rather hesitant in the final third so far. They are getting in good positions though which is a positive.

Lovely play between Pienaar and Baines down the left. The South African tries to pull it back across goal but his final delivery is poor. A warning for City.

Osman and Gibson have been impressive in possession up to now. Keeping Everton's play ticking over.

Fellaini gives it away cheaply to Silva who picks out Tevez but luckily for the Belgian City's attack breaks down on the edge of the penalty box.

Kompany again plays it long in the direction of Tevez.

Fellaini wins a flick on and knocks it in the direction of Naismith. The Scot tries to play in Jelavic first time but Lescott intercepts his pass. Unlucky there Everton.

Mancini again asked for more goals from his strikers this week. Will Tevez and Dzeko be able to help him out in that department today?

Kompany looks for the run of Tevez with the long ball but just overhits it. That has definitely been a ploy of City's up to now.

It is a very feisty affair so far with neither side pulling out of any challenges.
