Long leads another Baggies counter but the flag is up this time.

Villa now have a corner on the right which Albrighton swings in but Tamas heads clear.

Somehow Villa fail to level as bodies fly into the Baggies box, Agbonlahor and Benteke both unable to finish off Holman’s fantastic low ball as Tamas flies in with a game-saving tackle!

It was a super run into space from Morrison but the replay shows the ball was flicked against Long's boot by Vlaar sliding in. Long's second league goal of the season and fourth in all comps.

West Brom have started this half well and Villa’s fans go spare as Yacob clatters into Delph. Good tackle says the ref!

Long almost wriggles clear of the Villa defence but good defending sees him away. Now Mulumbu has it on the right after an exchange with Gera, fine cross AND LONG BURIES A FANTASTIC HEADER but the flag is up! Half a yard offside!

Holman on another mazy run down the left but good covering from Mulumbu and West Brom have a goal kick in the end.

Down the other end Tamas and McAuley combine to clear and Villa have a throw on the left, which Bennett will take.

Holman feels he should have had a free-kick after a tussle with Popov but it goes the other way; West Brom then win a corner but Villa clear.

The second half is underway. Villa very much in the ascendancy.

The half-time whistle goes and it's goalless, but West Brom have lost two players injured.

WEST BROM SUB: Jones comes off for Tamas.

Fantastic interception from Bennett as Morrison almost played Long in. Now Jones can bring it back forward for West Brom, he passes it back to McAuley, who returns the favour but Jones has collapsed holding his knee! Benteke steal it, the Belgian is in but the extra two touches allow Yacob to cover, and in the end he fires over! What an odd exchange. Jones in real trouble, he just went down with no-one near him.

A clumsier intervention from Olsson this time as he shanks a clearance behind for a corner. Albrighton puts it in but headed half clear. Bennett crosses back in but cleared once more. And now the counter is on as Mulumbu races away, now Morrison on the left, back to Dorrans and the opportunity has gone with Villa back in numbers, Gera’s weak cross cleared.

Nice first-time cross by Lowton but Olsson backheels it clear. Calm.

The sizeable away contingent react angrily as Long is outmuscled for a high ball. He’s looking increasingly isolated. Down the other end Mulumbu snuffs out a Villa attack before Foster clears long.

West Brom defend the corner well enough and clear upfield. Holman has been bright today.

GREAT SAVE FOSTER! A super run and left-foot shot from Holman, which takes a big deflection off Jones, but Foster reads it and tips the ball behind for a corner. Lovely jinking dribble from the Aussie.

The corner almost leads to a goal but Clark heads well wide. Brunt's day is over - he is replaced by Dorrans.

Brunt looks annoyed at not winning a free-kick as he took a knock in conceding a corner. He's out of play so gets his treatment straight away.
