Good play by Swansea again as Dobbie finds half a yard of space 20 yards out, but his low shot is tame and Friedel as no problems gathering.

Swansea force a second, then third corner but Spurs escape after Scott Sinclair - all alone in space 12 yards out - miscues his first-time shot.

A mistake from Kyle Walker allows Dobbie to burst into space down the left, but Gallas gets across to concede the corner.

Brad Friedel is forced into a superb diving save to his right to keep out a ferocious drive from Nathan Dyer from 25 yards.

Harry Redknapp names an unchanged starting line-up but striker Jermain Defoe and defender Michael Dawson return from hamstring and Achilles injuries to take a place on the Tottenham bench.

Swansea make six changes following their draw with QPR. Garry Monk comes in for on-loan centre-back Steven Caulker as he cannot play against his parent club and fit-again full-back Neil Taylor replaces the injured Angel Rangel. Brendan Rodgers also drops top scorer Danny Graham.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp: "We've done brilliantly and this is another game we have to win, but it won't be easy. I watched them play United the other week and that was a tight game. Swansea are not an easy side to beat, they are difficult at home."

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers: "Gareth Bale is perfect. His size, his pace, his power and his touch on the ball mean he is a wonderful, wonderful talent and a good lad by all accounts. If he was on the market any of the top teams in the world would take him."

Gareth Bale, who has already created as many Premier League goalscoring chances in 2011-12 as he did in 2010-11 (48), will be hoping to make an impression on his return to his homeland.
