FULL TIME. Sunderland win 1-0 thanks to that facrical goal from Bendtner, but they deserved all three points thanks to a resolute performance. Liverpool were awful.

Downing on his right foot hoofs the ball over the bar following a square pass from Enrique. Liverpool are going down to defeat following a very poor performance here today.

Liverpool have four added minutes to get something out of this game. They don't deserve it though.

Downing touches the ball off to Gerrard after a cut-back from Enrique but Vaughan races forward to produce a fine block for Sunderland. Time running out for Liverpool now.

Here is that anticipated change as Bendtner is forced off on a stretcher.

Bendtner is having to go off as a result and will be replaced by Connor Wickham.

Liverpool make their final change as Stewart Downing comes on for Henderson. Downing hasn't even got one assist yet this season.

It looks for all the world as though Liverpool will have won one in eight after this afternoon. They will also be 10 points behind Arsenal in fourth.

A change for Sunderland as Campbell is replaced by David Vaughan. That is a defensive change, and why not.

Suarez juggles in the box with his back to goal and tries to score on the spin. However, he may have been better off allowing to Carroll to get a shot away instead as he looked well placed to do so.

The two subs combine: Carroll heads down for Gerrard, who sends a meek effort at goal. Mingolet has no trouble dealing with it.
