Brendan Rogers (Swansea): "I had a good chat with the chairman this week, and we are not going to shell out millions and millions like some clubs have done because that's not the way we work at Swansea. We want to do it our way, but the chairman understands that we have got to invest. If we are going to retain our status at this level in the long term, we have got to recruit well. We are not going to go crazy, but we will be looking to add three or four players who can make a difference."
Martin Jol (Fulham): "There are a few clubs in England that use that style of play, like Arsenal play and Wigan most of the time. Manchester United in a way also use it so a lot of teams in England have changed their culture and they almost play like Ajax or Barcelona. Swansea always try to play. They play it out from the back and the keeper is almost like a 12th player so you could honestly say that I admire them for that."
For the Swans, winger Nathan Dyer remains suspended for his red card a few weeks back, while there are no new injury worries: Kemy Augustien is out for the season, while Andrea Orlandi is back in training after a hamstring tear.
Mahamadou Diarra starts for Fulham with Danny Murphy dropped to the bench; another senior player, Aaron Hughes, is also a sub after missing out against Aston Villa with a calf complaint, with Philippe Senderos continuing alongside Brede Hangeland in the centre of defence. Bryan Ruiz starts on the left too, with Damien Duff dropped to the bench after the Villa defeat. Steve Sidwell and Orlando Sa are out for a month or so and Zdenek Grygera absent in the long term.
Referee: Mark Halsey (Lancashire)
