Frei on another fine run but he ends up isolated and Everton clear.

Heitinga takes it in the end but blasts it miles over.

A delay over a free-kick for Everton, probably working out the best way to win a penalty again...

Duff's corner is cleared but he gets it back, finding Frei whose far-post cross is met by Diarra but he can only slide the cut-back into the side netting.

Superb dummy from Osman to put Pienaar in, he tries to complete the one-two and Hangeland blocks Osman off, Everton want a penalty but a. it was outside the box and b. not really a foul.

I have no idea why Pogrebnyak did that, he could have headed it away, not like he's scared of the ball. Anyway, Fulham have it all to do now, having struggled to get in the game. They do have a free-kick on halfway though... Diarra sends it long and the Pog again appears to handle, at the other end this time, but the ref waves play-on.

GOAL EVERTON! Jelavic sends the penalty to the left and Schwarzer towards the right. 1-0.

PENALTY EVERTON! Jelavic with the free-kick and Pogrebnyak with an idiotic handball, raising his arms to head height to bat is away! Stupid from the Pog, instinctive one assumes.

Everton have kept the ball for some time now, Fulham unable to get a touch.

Everton with all the possession early on, as one would expect of the home side. Pienaar sends Distin clean through but he's offside. Distin getting forward, having fun with the attacking brief.

Distin, playing left-back in the absence of Baines, gets forward to win a throw off another makeshift full-back Hughes.
