Wigan finally get some time on the ball in midfield. Arsenal were rampant just before half-time, though Roberto Martinez's side seem to have regained their composure.

N'Zogbia strides forward and cuts inside fromt he left flank, he looks for the run of Thomas, but Sagna is there with a fine challenge to clear the danger for Arsenal.

Wigan fans should not despair. There have been five goals scored in the 89th minute or later in the last three meetings between these two sides.

Arsenal get the second half underway.
H-T
Well, Wigan were by far the better side for much of that first half, and created all the early chances. They deservedly took the lead through Ben Watson's penalty, but two clinical Arsenal attacks just before the half-time whistle saw Arshavin and Bendtner send the Gunners in 2-1 up.

There's the half-time whistle. Wigan 1-2 Arsenal.

N'Zogbia now brings it forward down the left and slips a neat ball in for Rodallega, the angle is tight but he takes the shot on anyway, and Fabianski parries it behind for a corner! Decent hit, but it was going to take something extra special to beat the 'keeper from there.
45+4'
One final Arsenal attack in this first half as Arshavin looks to play in Chamakh, but Alcaraz stands strong to muscle his opponent off the ball.
45+3'
The free-kick is aimed by Arshavin in towards Chamakh...but he can't get up high enough to direct his header goalwards.
45+2'
Arsenal are well and truly camped inside the Wigan half, and now Caldwell gives away another free-kick after going through the back of Arshavin.

Four minutes stoppage time to be added, and Wigan's fine start has been undone by two Arsenal attacks right at the end of this half.

GOAL!!! Bendtner puts Arsenal 2-1 up after what was a fine team move!!! Arshavin picked the ball up in, played a somewhat crude ball through to Bendtner, who nevertheless bundled his way through Alcaraz and Caldwell, before slotting the ball past Al Habsi.
42'
Wigan need half-time to come soon. Arsenal have really stepped up a gear in the last couple of minutes.
41'
Whether Arsenal deserved that or not is debatable, but it has certainly transformed the dynamic of the game. Rosicky brings it forward for them again, and is unfortunate not to be given a free-kick just to the right of the area after a challenge from Gohouri.

GOAL!!! Arshavin brings Arsenal level!!! Bendtner ran onto a long ball over the top, drew a fine low save from Al-Habsi, the ball rebounded out, and Arshavin reacted superbly, pulling off an acrobatic volley to smash the ball home!

N'Zogbia looks to orchestrate a quick Wigan break, but Eboue nicks the ball off him, and wins Arsenal a free-kick.

Arsenal have had 54% of the possession so far, compared to Wigan's 46%, but Wigan have been far more productive when they have had the ball.
37'
The referee finally blow for a free-kick now as Eboue goes in late on Watson.
36'
Wilshere is getting his foot on the ball more and more in the middle of the park, but Wigan's pressing is still stifling Arsenal - more great defending there from Cleverley prevents a corner as Sagna attacked down the right.
34'
Stam flattens Arshavin and doesn't get a whole lot of the ball, but Lee Probert sees nothing wrong with the challenge. Wenger was up in arms on the touchline there.
33'
Rodallega holds off Koscielny superbly and looks for the onrushing N'Zogbia with a square ball...Squillaci intercepts.
