Lucas fouls N'Zogbia as the winger surges inside from the right. Pepe Reina barks orders at his defence as they preapre to face the free-kick...

Wigan are nothing if not determined. Again Moses tries to make headway down the left but is thwarted once again. Liverpool have really takent heir foot off the gas though.

Ben Watson's drilled low strike from distance almost makes it to the feet of Rodallega inside the box, but Maxi is back to help stop the Colombian getting a shot away.

Moses tries to get the better of Kelly at the byline, but the young defender is having none of it, and robs his man of the ball with a well-timed foot in.

Aurelio will send a corner into the Wigan box. It's just as soon headed out again, and Meireles fouls N'zogbia as the Frenchman tries to launch the counter attack.

Alcaraz gambols forward out of defence and finds Rodallega on the edge of the box. The striker lays it off first time for Moses to strike... fired into the crowd. Moses got toof ar under the ball there.

Frustration for Wigan as some more decent build-up lay is let down by a lack of cutting edge in the final third. It's been the story of much of their season.

Lovely turn from Rodallega in midfield sees him beat two men and head of rogal. He plays the ball out wide for N'Zogbia, but the cross in is blocked by Martin Kelly, who is having another good game so far.

Suarez weaves his way into the box from the left-hand side and bends his shot off the far post! So close to a second Anfield goal for the £23m man.

That is Meireles's fifth goal in his last six games for Liverpool.
