GOAL! Valladolid 0-1 Atletico! Falcao opens the scoring! It's a lovely free-kick as the ball is dinked in for Diego Godin but while the defender's shot from close range is saved superbly by Hernandez, Falcao is lurking to tuck the ball away.

Gabi wins a free-kick 20 yards from goal for Atleti...

This is more confident from Atleti now as they begin stroking the ball around nicely.

CHANCE FOR FALCAO! The Colombian gets his first proper sight at goal and drills in an effort from 20 yards that Daniel Hernandez smothers in the home goal.

Tiago looks for Turan on the right flank with a searching ball but he can't pull it under control.

It's been a snappy start from Valladolid as they look to push on up the table from 12th.

Filipe fires in a cross from the left but Turan is penalised for a push on his marker as he rises above him to connect with his head.

Now Atleti try a set-piece routine but Valladolid clear from inside the box. Disappointing.

Atleti throw their bodies in the way of a shot and it just sneaks past the post for a corner. Nothing comes of the set-piece from Valladolid though.

Atleti start the day with a four-point advantage over Real Madrid having lost two of their previous three games in La Liga - including last time out which was a 2-1 loss to Rayo Vallecano. Madrid host Rayo Vallecano later tonight.
