Fabregas lofts a ball over the top - as Barcelona love to do - but Xavi can't quite pull it down properly and fails to get a shot away from inside the box.

Getafe want a penalty! Martin Montoya rather clumsily clatters into the back of Adrian Colunga on the edge of the box and the Barca man is rather lucky not to be penalised. Colunga was in a fantastic position as well.

It is Adriano's turn to dart in the box, from left-back, but he can't pick out one of the orange/canary yellow Barcelona shirts. Their away kit is horrible, incidentally.

Now Pedro takes a clever touch to the right of the box and lays the ball wide to Tello. He knocks it past his marker but Moya is off his line quickly to intercept.

Chance for Barcelona! Fabregas slips in Tello to the left of the box and the youngster opens up his body to fire in a low effort that Moya flings out an arm to.

Fabregas is indeed playing as the false nine and is flanked by Tello and Pedro tonight. The Barca team looks rather like a second string side, particularly with no Messi of course.

It looks as though Cesc Fabregas, who has complained of a lack of playing time, is filling in for Messi as the false nine. Is that a good move? Let me know on Twitter now.

Barca have won all three of their La Liga games under Tito Vilanova - beating Real Sociedad, Osasuna and Valencia and boast a five-point lead over Real Madrid, who play away at Sevilla in two hours' time. An eight-point lead will look very nice indeed.
