Ooof. Great start by Villa as Barry Bannan picks up the ball on the left before firing a shot goalward from about 25 yards out. He misses just to the side of the right post but Robinson didn't look all that confident about that one

With John Carew having joined Stoke on loan, Emile Heskey is set to return to the starting line-up. Ciaran Clark (hamstring), Fabian Delph (knee) and Kyle Walker (back) are all available again. But Luke Young and Stephen Ireland are both still sidelined with knee injuries.

Villa's record signing, Darren Bent, is cup-tied for today's clash. Bent, who signed from Sunderland for £18 million, played and scored for the Black Cats when beaten by Notts County in the previous round.
