Nigel Worthington has put his faith in youth by springing a major selection surprise for Friday's Euro 2012 qualifier against Serbia. Worthington has opted to start with 18-year-old Wolves prospect Johnny Gorman and Hull's Corry Evans, 20, in midfield, while Craig Cathcart gets the nod ahead of veteran Stephen Craigan in defence.

Due to UEFA ruling this match is to be played behind closed doors as punishment for Serbian fans' clashes with Italian police during their last qualifying match, the 240 Northern Ireland supporters will be the only spectators in the stadium.

This will be the first ever competitive meeting between Northern Ireland and an independent Serbia, although Serbia did win 1-0 at Windsor Park in an international friendly in 2009.
