Assifuah catches Milner in an aerial challenge. He needs to be careful given that has already been booked.
37'
Another marauding run down the left from Smith. The left-back skips beyond one but is brilliantly denied by Carlitos who did well to track back.

Can is back on his feet. Liverpool don't want to pick up any serious injuries in a match that they don't necessarily need to win.

The game has been halted while Can receives treatment for the knock on his ankle.

Ebenezer Assifuah is cautioned for catching Can with a lunging challenge after the Suion forward had overrun the ball.

Liverpool win the ball high up the pitch once more through Milner, but this time Lallana blazes over with a poor attempt.

CLOSE! Lallana wins the ball and leads the counter attack from the halfway line. The midfielder feeds a pass through to Origi who muscles his way beyond one but is halted by a last-ditch tackle just as he was about to pull the trigger inside the area. Great defending.
27'
Free kick to Liverpool on the right. Henderson looks to curve it into the area but it's a poor delivery and is easily hooked away by the first man.

A right-wing corner is nodded to Ziegler just outside the area, but his first-time shot from 25 yards flies harmlessly over the bar.
24'
YOU'D NEVER HAVE GUESSED: Of all Liverpool's current players Lucas Leiva is the club's leading scorer in Europe with three goals. The Brazilian is, of course, not involved tonight so he won't be adding to that tally.

Fernandes causing Liverpool more trouble as he dummies the shot twice before dragging wide from 20 yards. he should have done better. It was a decent opening for the Swiss outfit.
21'
More neat play from the hosts in and around the centre of the pitch just outside the Liverpool area but Fernandes's attempt at a give and go doesn't quite come off.
20'
Liverpool edging it so far but Sion have shown that they have some nimble attackers if they are given space in and around the area.
19'
Origi looking full of confidence which is perhaps not surprising following his treble at Southampton in the League Cup last week.

Origi drifts in from the left and thunders a dipping shot just wide of the far post. Good effort from the Belgian striker.

DID YOU KNOW? Only Simon Mignolet has started all six games for Liverpool in this season's competition.
16'
Carlitos turns into space, bamboozles Can but then crashes his shot from 25 yards way over Simon Mignolet's bar. Lovely build up, just a shame about the end product.
