GREAT SAVE FROM CARSON!! Hazard bursts down the right and swings a ball in that causes havoc in the Wigan penalty area. It rolls to the onrushing Skulason who fires a shot at goal that is smartly saved by the backtracking Carson.

That was the first time McManaman has really gone at his man tonight and it paid off, He’’l surely look to do more of that in the second half.
43'
Boyce finds McManaman down the right with the Wigan man whipping a ball into the penalty area. None of his teammates gamble at the front post and the ball roll across the face of the goal and away from danger.

Naessens goes into the book. Shotton breaks out of his own penalty area with the ball but the Zulte man comes flying in from behind him and sends him crashing to the floor.
41'
McCann clashes with Malanda as the two challenge for the ball. The Wigan man looks to have taken a stray elbow and goes down, but it was nothing more than that.
40'
Constant pressure on the visitors at the moment. They’ll need to ride the storm and will want to get into half time at least on level terms.
39'
Hazard has a decent chance to get the ball into the box from a set-piece but he opts to play it short with Conte. The Zulte winger overruns the ball Wigan send the ball up field.

The hosts are enjoying their best spell of the game so far. They’re retaining possession well and have Wigan pinned back in their own half.

CROSSBAR!! Hazard’s cross from the right is met by the head of McClean, but the Wigan man doesn’t make great contact with the ball as it loops up in the air and comes back off his own crossbar. That’s the closes Zulte have gone so far…
35'
Naessens’ cross from the right is cleared but only as far as Hazard who smacks a shot at goal, only for it to be cleared for a corner.
34'
The hosts look to build an attack. Patiently they work it from the back and go from right to left but Conte’s centre is a poor one and the ball is cleared.
33'
Habibou tries to gain an advantage by giving Shotton a nudge in the back as the two challenge for a high ball. The referee spots it, though, and has a quick word with Zulte man.
32'
McCann is put through on goal down the left but the flag goes up and the referee blows his whistle. Absolutely no reason to be offside there.
31'
First bit of magic from Hazard who carries the ball from his own half and skips past four Wigan challenges. The young Belgian tries to manufacture some space for a shot as he reaches the edge of the Wigan penalty are but his efforts are stifled.
30'
Great block from Skulason. Powell receives the ball with his back to goal in the Zulte box and rolls it into the path of McCann who sends a rocket of a strike on goal. The Zulte defender’s block sees Wigan gain another corner.
29'
Gomez finds some space in between the two Zulte centre-halves and is found by McClean. D’Haene spots the run, though, and clears the danger.
28'
Man United’s Powell hasn’t seen a great deal of the ball as of yet – apart from that speculative 30-yard effort – and will look to become more involved in the game as it wears on. He may need to drop a little deeper to do so, however.
27'
In the group's other game, Rubin Kazan have taken the lead against Maribor.
