HUNGARY START ON TOP
A throw-in is floated into the Scottish box and there are some hopeful shouts for handball from the Hungarian fans, but they are ignored. Hanley heads away a second throw and it's a corner. Hanley deals with that one too, with a strong defensive header.
BACK UNDERWAY
Right, let's park that first half. The second has to be better, doesn't it?
NOT GREAT
LET'S BE HONEST
This was the best bit so far.
MEANWHILE...
Switzerland are halfway to a stunning win over the hosts!
HALF-TIME: SCOTLAND 0-0 HUNGARY
Szoboszlai finds a pocket of space on the edge of the area for a shot, but he blazes it over on his left foot. A nervy end to the half for Scotland, and that is half-time.
Both teams are really struggling to penetrate with their passing. It's been a nervy half full of fouls, with Hungary now on three yellow cards.
GULACSI CLAIMS
McGinn dinks in an inviting cross towards Adams, who gets a head on it to keep the ball alive, but Gulacsi is there to scoop up the loose ball. We will have one more minute of added time.
SCHAFER BOOKED
Schafer catches Hendry with his studs in a 50/50 on halfway, and he becomes the third Hungarian player in the book tonight.
Yellow card
A. Schäfer
HUNGARY HIT THE BAR!
This time Szoboszlai elects to drift a cross to the back post instead of shooting and it catches out the Scottish defence, finding Orban at the back post who heads off the bar and over. He might have been offside, though.
OUCH
Oh dear, that was a nasty one. Adams attempts an overhead kick clearance on the edge of the Scotland box, but catches Varga in the face. Free-kick Hungary in another dangerous position.
SCOTS GET A SNIFF
A bit better, as Ralston gets down the right and puts a cross in, which Adams heads down, but McTominay can't control it. Eventually a second cross comes in from McGinn, but it's straight into Gulacsi's arms.
MOMENTUM SHIFTED
It's almost a mirror-image of the opening 20 minutes of this game, with Hungary now dominating possession but struggling to make much of it.
They've done more than Scotland, though. Clarke's side are yet to have a shot.
SHOT KLAXON!
We've got a shot! Not a great one, though, as Sallai batters a speculative effort off target from distance.
FINALLY A GOOD PASS
One of the first incisive passes of the match there as Szoboszlai finds Bolla's run. But he's pushed wide and Scotland manage to hang on again. Hungary dictating this now though, with the Scots pinned back.
SCOTS CLEAR THEIR LINES
Scotland make a bit of a meal of clearing the corner, but get there eventually. Decent spell for Hungary, this.
SZOBOSZLAI CAN'T HIT THE TARGET
He goes for goal, but it clips the top of the wall and flies over for a corner.
HUNGARY FREE-KICK
Another phase of play, another free-kick. This time it's in a very interesting position for Hungary. Szoboszlai stands over this central set piece about 30 yards out.
A REAL SCRAP
Hanley's arm was up over Botka's face as he jumped, which is what left the Hungary defender on the turf.
Now Hendry has dragged down Sallai. It's all a bit scrappy out there.
HUNGARY CORNER
Here come Hungary, but Ralston blocks a cross and it's a corner. Szoboszlai to take...
The Liverpool man's delivery is decent but Scotland deal with it and Adams scampers away on the counter to the roar of the Tartan Army, before deciding to cut back with a Hungary player still down from the corner. Cue the boos...
ORBAN YELLOW
McGinn gets clattered again and that's the second yellow of the night, this time to Orban.
The resulting free-kick again comes to nothing - Scotland's set pieces haven't carried much threat so far. Or the rest of their play, for that matter.
Yellow card
W. Orbán
THE STATS SO FAR
- Shots: 1
- Fouls: 9
It's tense. Scotland have 75% possession so far, but they aren't doing much with it.
