IRELAND OUT OF EURO 2024 QUALIFYING
Ireland’s hopes of reaching Euro 2024 are officially over after a 2-0 home defeat to Greece at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
First-half goals from Georgios Giakoumakis and Giorgios Masouras did the damage for Gustavo Poyet’s side, who move about the Netherlands and into Group B’s top two.
Greece play the Netherlands next in what will be a huge clash for an automatic spot, while Ireland travel to Gibraltar.
France’s victory over the Netherlands on Friday means they have booked a spot at Euro 2024.
