That did not look at all likely at half-time. Sevilla were excellent for the first hour or so, but Mahrez moving to the right and the introduction of Gray changed the game, they grew in confidence, got their goal, and threatened thereafter. They are now firmly in the tie - it'll be quite a night at the KP in a fortnight - and, in the meantime, can use the impetus to improve in the league?

Mahrez jinks away outside the box, but Escudero inserts himself between leg and ball, allowing Sevilla to clear. They do not look at all happy, all the more so knowing what's waiting for them in the dressing room. All the best, chaps.

This has been a really good second half from Leicester. In particular, the arrival of Gray for Musa changed things - someone willing to show for the ball and run with and without it turned out to be strangely useful.

Lovely from Mariano, who is a real player, away from Fuchs and nutmegging Ndidi before releasing Jovetic. He then curves a cross to the back post, where Vitolo waits, but Schmeichel spreads himself well to block behind. And the corner is quickly cleared, sending Gray streaking away with Vardy alongside him! But Mariano knows far too much, standing still to be run into and clearing thereafter.

However this game finishes, Leicesrer now know they can get in among Sevilla; the second leg should be a belter (until Sevilla score a couple).

"England, England, England" sing the Leicester fans. Not sure they've got the hang of this European club football thing.

Suddenly, Drinkwater is in the game, but Mariano robs him and Sevilla break, Vitolo crossing, Iborra stepoing over, and Ndidi doing everything but obviously foul Jovetic, who gets his shot away and appeals for a penalty at the same time. The ball scooshes wide and the ref is having none of it.

Gray races in from the left and unleashes a shot curving towards goal, but Mariano thunks a header clear.

For the first time we can hear the Leicester fans, as Sevilla come again. The game is getting stretched, and Escudero slides in late on Mahrez - he's booked. On the one hand, Leicester could score again; on the other, hanging on would do.

Two perfect passes is all it took. I'm sure Leicester would take full-time right now.

Lovely from Gray, sliding a perfectly-weighted ball into the path of Drinkwater down the left, he cracks over a low cross and Vardy devours it with vicious alacrity, slamming into the roof of the net. Vitolo slides in Jovetic down the left side of the box; he can't decide whether to shoot or cross, so does both, and as the ball whizzes across the face, Morgan and Huth do well to avoid scoring an own goal. Yes, it's come to that.
