Despite all their summer woes of missed signings and thrifty management, Arsenal are in a stable position when compared to their Turkish opponents. Fenerbahce face expulsion from the Champions League for match-fixing and it’s only because of their drawn out appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport that they can play this game at all. The upshot of all that means Arsenal can still qualify for the group stages even if they lose over two legs.
