FULL TIME! City just about deserved it, but they left it mighty late. Aguero was fairly quiet after his introduction, but he's scored a crucial goal which may yet kick-start their European campaign!

Milner picks out Zabaleta with a crafty ball, zippy low cross from Zabaleta - so many City bodies in the box, and it's Aguero who pokes in from close range. Mancini goes bonkers!

Lescott shows composure to stop Valero on the break without sliding in. Three mintues of stoppages to play.

From not very much, Gareth Barry wins a corner. Lescott comes forward, Kolarov whips it in, but Villarreal head it clear, and Rossi blocks Barry from getting in the rebound.

Villarreal change - De Guzman off after a committed effort, replaced by Guillon.

Villarreal sitting very deep now - it looks as if it will be City on the attack from now to the final whistle. How many minutes will we see of stoppages?

DZEKO! Mancini despairs. Kolarov puts in a great cross, picks out Dzeko completley unmarked, and his free header sails wide. A big chance wasted, at least to test the keeper.

Zapata and Kolarov tussle, and the Serbian wins a throw near the corner flag.

Kolarov picks out Aguero with a long ball down the left, but in trying to beat Rodriguez the Argentine's touch really lets him down.

Mubaraak wins a corner here - Villarreal look to have set their stall up to defend their draw. Valero being pelted by papers here - a staggeringly stupid move from those fans throwing them.

Poor tackle from Kompany on Mubarak, though the City captain suggests he dived. Not this time. Free-kick for the visitors.

Time running out for City - Roberto Mancini made it clear before the game how important victory was. He has one change still available to him.

DZEKO CLOSE! But that move was all about Aguero, who bursts through the middle and plays the ball inside to Dzeko - his shot though just wide of the near stick. Aguero also had the option of Kolarov to his left, but went for his striker.
