With the last kick of the game Gomez has a shot from halfway! There's no height on it, but De Sanctis is on his way back from the corner. It's a foot from going in and De Sanctis JUST slides in time to clear it away as the whistle blows for full time. What a game that was.

Lavezzi does brilliantly down the left, twisting and turning and winning the corner against four men. The ball comes in and it's scrambled away...

Boateng hits it long and Gomez, who has been anonymous this half, holds it up. Lahm pick up the ball, cuts in field and the goal opens up for him! His shot is deflected and Alaba has a chance, but the angle's narrow and it's blocked out for a corner.

Inler shephards the ball out of play. I's launched upfiedl, but Neuer claims the loose ball. Bayern are keeping the ball well now.

Not for long though as Hamsik drives up the pitch. Napoli win another foul, but this time play it short. Set pieces seem like the best route to goal for the Italians tonight.

Muller is fouled by Inler after a neat turn away from the Swiss. Good position here...but they elect to keep possession.

A heavy touch from Cavani allows Gustavo to step in. Bayern get it upfield to safety and have the throw.

De Sanctis launches it upfield - it's probably a little early to be doing that. Nevertheless Lahm commits the foul and the Italians have it on the halfway line.

Tymoshcuck concedes the freekick on the halfway line, but it's safely shepharded away and Lahm takes the throw.

Napoli substitution: Dzemaili comes off for Pandev.

Alaba's first touch is to shift the ball to make space for the shot. His effort isn't bad, but there's not enough precision for it to really trouble De Sanctis.

Gustavo has the ball in the left back position and doesn't really know what to do with it. He elects to go back to Neuer who hurriedly boots down pitch.

What a game this is turning out to be! Ribery is replaced by Alaba for the final 10 minutes.

Goal! Bayern 3-2 Napoli - Fernandez again! Another set piece; it's swung to the back post and the Argentinian loops a wonderful header over Neuer and into the far corner.

The Napoli freekick is headed out for a corner. Bayern clear it away, but it comes stright back at them. Inler is checked by Gustavo, who deserved a yellow, but got away with it.

Hamsik loses the ball, but he plays a good follow up in behind for Cavani. Badstuber doesn't have the pace to stay in touch and pulls him back. That's a second yellow and he's also off!

Muller drives to the touchline, but is hustled out of it. He's had a pretty quiet game tonight the young German.

The freekick is played short and Lavezzi whips in a vicious cross that is dangerous, but is also just too high for anyone to get on the end of.

De Sanctis has to tip over a speculative effort. From the corner Napoli break. Lavezzi gets on the ball and he's too quick for Boateng, who lunges in and picks up a deserved yellow.

That leaves Napoli with an almost impossible task with 20 minutes to go. It was so foolish, especially having just received a card. Surely the thought went through his mind when he did it.
