Wonderful work from Wesley, involved for the first time on the night. The Brazilian disposses Ruiz and dribbles forward, unleashing a right-foot drive that Mikhailov saves smartly.

Bryan Ruiz seems to have switched to the left flank for this second half, a move which makes sense following his two dangerous efforts in the opening 45 minutes.

Mielitz is again unconvincing from the corner, punching clear as far as Hunt. His clearance is poor and falls to Ruiz in space on the left. The Costa Rican comes forward and hits a thundering effort at the near post, which brushes the side-netting.

Janssen bursts forward for Twente, Prodl getting back to concede a corner on the byline.

The home crowd have been superb in this first half, very impressive and a great atmosphere despite a lacklustre first half.

Mielitz comes very close to failing his first test in goal. Janko taking down and long pass and hitting a low left-foot shot on goal. It seemed simple for the German, but he fumbles the effort and nearly allows Landzaat in. He flings a boot at the ball to hack it clear.

Rosales hammers a low cross into the Bremen penalty area with Denny Landzaat the furthest man forward. He attempts to wrap his right foot around the ball but screws his effort high and wide.

The injuries seem to have punctuated this half, the game yet to get going in Enschede.

Janssen does well to find Chadli free out wide, with acres of space his cross is poor, and floats beyond the far post. Worryingly for Bremen, Wiese has gone down under no challenge and is clutching his knee. He looks in agony and the sub is being readied.

The error from Tiendalli seems to have handed momentum to Werder Bremen, Twente struggling at the moment.
