Gervinho wastes another chance. He runs on to a pinpoint long ball by Tiote but misses the target with his first-time effort.

It's a rather limp second half I'm afraid. Sudan are tentatively pushing forward, but Ivory Coast look as comfortable at the back as they look insipid in attack.

Ivory Coast are looking very lethargic in attack as Gervinho misplaces his pass forward. They will have to get better if they hope to win the tournament.

Big chance for Drogba, who volleys over from the edge of the box. The Chelsea forward had a lot more time than he thought there and, quite simply, it should be 2-0.

Gervinho breaks into the box on the right and fires the ball across goal. Maghoub gathers, but only at the second time of asking.

Chance for Sudan's Mudather again, who glances a header just over the bar. Flag is up for offside, so it wouldn't have counted. Sudan creating chances though.

Kalou appears to be through on goal but Haitham recovers to make a crucial interception.

Nagm Eldin fires a volley towards goal from the edge of the box, but it flies just wide of the Ivory Coast goal. Not a bad effort for Sudan, that.
