Olympic champs set debut

The Cubans, who all won gold medals in Athens 2004 in their respective weight classes, were scheduled to have their first fights in Miami but arena-CEO Ahmet Öner changed the plans.

"As the guys live and train in Hamburg it makes sense to present them to the German public first," said Oner. "But American fans don't have to wait for long. Their USA-debut will probably follow in May."

The fight night in Hamburg will take place in the new arena Gym in front of only 600 spectators. Öner said: "That's no problem. We present our 'golden boys' to a small but mighty audience. It will be an exclusive event, for which it will be hard to get tickets; especially as we already have lots of inquiries."
